Skin Care Specialist/ Lash Artist/ Makeup Artist/ Reiki Master
Jessica Budney chose to pursue a career in this industry after a lifelong passion for esthetics, beauty and a love of working with people. She graduated from the International Institute of Cosmetology in November of 2011 as a Licensed Esthetician. After she graduated from cosmetology school she began her career as a full time esthetician at Connecticut’s first eyelash extension boutique. It was there she worked one on one with Connecticut’s Novalash Trainer for eyelash extensions, and soon after she became an Advanced Certified Lash Technician.

For a short period of time she worked for a local Day Spa in Essex and busy Salon in Middletown learning some of today's latest trends in skin care; including becoming a certified Hydrafacial esthetician. Soon after she decided to make the jump to go out on her own in 2016, opening Blissful Beauty Day Spa.

Continuing her pursuit in the beauty industry, she decided to further her knowledge and became DinAir Airbrush Make-up Certified as well. This lead her to the opportunity of working with photographers and CT's J Bridal Team doing makeup on models for Plitz New York Fashion Week in 2013. Bridal Makeup has always been a passion for Jess. Her sister Emily and her have worked together as a hair and makeup duo since 2013 and in the summer of 2020, Jess officially Launched "Blissful Bride" - a Bridal Company. Emily helps to manage and make sure it is running smoothly while Jess is busy running the Day Spa. They have a small team of talented artists to help each bride's vision come to life. We are still holding down first place for Best On the Shoreline since 2020!

Jess is always learning and growing with the industry, and every month is off learning one the newest trends. Packing MANY different modalities under her belt her drive & passion for beauty have filled her with years of hands on experience in the industry. But her latest curiosity has pulled her towards energy work and healing. She has been working for over a year and a half on mastering reiki, chakra energy healing, and spiritual connections. This last year these connections have guided her to trust her intuition and those spiritual connections. She believes these connections have lead her to the outcome of growing and expanding her business in 2024. Jessica is has worked hard in finding the perfect team of passionate professionals to provide top notch one on one services for all of CT's shoreline.
Outside of work, Jessica is a mom to a handsome boy, Bennett and beautiful little girl, Emersyn and enjoys spending time with her husband and growing family!

Meet Fallon
Esthetician/Lash Artist/ Makeup Artist
After an internship at a local day spa in high school, Fallon got an appreciation for the world of beauty. At a young age she knew that beauty was where her heart was. Fallon acquired her Esthetician’s license in 2018 after graduating top of her class at International's Institute of Cosmetology in Wethersfield, CT. After graduating, Fal got a few years of hands on experience working for a local spa in Old Saybrook. Eager to master more in her trade, Fallon got exclusive one on one training in Elleebana's Lash Lift Training Course, as well as Hydrafacial & Microdermabrasion Courses. Outside of working at Bliss, you may see Fallon's smiling face and exceptional customer service skills keeping busy at a local restaurant here in Deep River. Fal is busy planning for her wedding in October. She loves hiking with her fiancé Lauren and adorable pup Bea, spending time with her family & friends and shopping at Marshalls. Fallon's confident & bubbly personality will make you feel at ease from the moment you arrive. Meet Cerina
Esthetician/ Lash Artist

Cerina is so happy to be back in CT after living in LA & NYC since 2002. She grew up with her parents owning a busy hair salon in Kensington and spent summers at Hawk’s Nest Beach in Old Lyme. After graduating University of Hartford with BA in Drama, she moved out to LA to pursue on set makeup in beauty, character and special effects and quickly fell in love and transitioned into the luxury spa business. Cerina is a licensed Esthetician in three states; CT, CA and NY! For over 18 years Cerina has been providing some of the most highly sought after facials including Hydrafacials, Oxygen boosts, LED light therapy, Microderm and many other Anti-Aging treatments. She's had the pleasure of getting amazing hands on experience at a few very well known spas including the La Prairie Spas at The Ritz Carlton and The Beverly Hills Hotel and also, Alchemie Organic Day Spa. She is also an Elleebana certified Lash Artist. Cerina is a very organized and dedicated worker who held a corporate office position as a manager, writing facial protocols and leading spa trainings at The Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman and Hotel Bel Air Spa. While working in NYC and in West Hollywood, Cerina became a very experienced at performing face & body waxing and very proficient in lash and brow tinting services. Outside of work, Cerina is a proud vegan and has 2 rescue pups, Vinny and LD (Little Dog) and is so grateful to be close to her family again. She loves working with organic skincare lines and is thrilled to now be working with the Shira product line at Blissful Beauty. She's passionate about learning anything & everything the beauty industry has to offer. Cerina's attention to detail with extractions & selecting the perfect products for each person will leave you at peace, soaking in her calming & positive energy. She will help you destress and comfort your skin leaving it glowing for weeks & weeks. However, Cerina's favorite part about the beauty industry is building a loyal clientele and we are excited to have her at Bliss to do just that!
Meet Annmarie
Receptionist

Born and raised locally on the Connecticut shoreline, Annmarie may be a familiar face to you. She raised her four successful children in the tri-town area and we are so lucky to have her here to help us face the crazy head on at the desk. She’s the first smiling face you see when you walk through our doors and has extensive knowledge in all of our products and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. In her spare time, she can be found riding her tandem bike with her husband, Keith. She loves spending time with her kids and taking her pup for a walk!
Meet Cerina
Massage Therapist
Rozalynd's philosophy with massage is to provide exceptional, one of a kind massage therapy services that cater to the overworked, overtired, and genuinely stressed out people. Roz is a board certified massage therapist, licensed in Connecticut, originally from the White Mountains. This is where she received her massage therapy education at the North Eastern Institute of Whole Health in New Hampshire.

Rozalynd obtained first class spa and customer service training at the 4 Diamond Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa where she worked until she relocated to Connecticut in 2010.

Since arriving in Connecticut, she has worked for some amazing local salons & spas, developing her techniques and growing into a successful & trusted massage therapist. She wants to be the person & the place you look forward to coming to for peace of mind & pain relief.

Outside of work Roz enjoys a delicious home cooked meal prepared by her husband Ian, a professional Chef, and taking care of her newest addition, baby girl Brightyn "Brighty".

We are so excited to announce the newest team member to Blissful Beauty! After working long and stressful hours for more than 10 years in a corporate setting Svetlana found it very beneficial to reduce and balance her stress level and find inner peace with Yoga and Qigong. In 2006 Svetlana made a decision from her heart to share her passion of these modalities by helping her students to reduce their chronic pain, stress and improve quality of life - to “Walk the talk “as they say. Resigning from corporate America to focus on this practice for more than 14 years she has dedicated herself to perfecting her technique and share it with others. To provide a well-rounded Mind, Body, Spirit program, Lana additionally trained in Tai Chi for Beginners, and Qi Gong with Supreme Science Qigong Foundation, Wu Healing Center as well as Reiki. As always fascinated by the complexity of the human Mind, Body and Spirit Svetlana attended the Florida Massage Academy in Fort Myers, FL to further her understanding of the body’s ability to rejuvenate. She is currently integrating various modalities in to her wellness treatments which includes offering Cranial Sacral Therapy, MPS therapy and scar reduction, Esogetic Colorpuncture and Reiki as well as Swedish Massage sessions. In her free time Lana loves to spend time with her two beautiful daughters and an energetic grandson. You can find her head in a science book, learning or walking the beach or in nature, doing yoga and meditating. She is locally well-known for her gentle spirit, sweet smile and amazing knowledge! Lana will be opening her schedule on Thursdays to start for a variety of amazing modalities that can all be found on our website for your convenience and come and experience her talent for yourself!

For over 30 years as a massage therapist, Patty has mastered numerous different techniques to help with stress and tension. We like to refer to her as tiny but mighty when it comes to massages! She caters to clientele of all ages, and has a particularly large following of deep tissue massages. Patty has lived local for most of her life, always helping others and is a ball of energy in the work space. She is a very hard worker and can be found bartending at The Copper Beach in her spare time. Fun fact, Patty was born on Saint Patrick's Day, hence the name. She's a lover of all animals, loves to spend time with her mom & friends and enjoys a nice glass of wine to wind down. Patricia's down to earth personality and truly remarkable massage will surely make you want nothing more than to come back time and time again.

Laura is a true heart-centered healer with over 20+ years of experience. Her expertise of health & wellness benefits her clients in so many ways using modalities specializing in reiki, craniosacral therapy, and cupping. If you're looking for a medium to firm pressure massage and dose of relaxation, Laura is your lady! What started as just a per diem work for us about 3 years ago, turned into a weekly dose of Laura's bubbly & easy going attitude. In her spare time, Laura loves to bounce around and try new and yummy restaurants. She also took a ski patrol EMT class with her son and had so much fun learning & bonding with him. Come in and be healed with her expertise, and leave a whole new person!

Bridal Team Manager/Cosmetologist
Emily has always had a passion for hair from a young age. Being Jessica's older sister she often practiced cutting and styling hair before even attending cosmetology school. Her passion only grew stronger once she graduated in 2007 from Paul Mitchell. Emily worked at a well known salon in Middletown where she managed an entire team, as well as managing a bridal company for hair and makeup. Jess was able to work and learn closely from her big sister at that same salon, teaching Jess a lot of the foundations of management and excellent customer service skills. Emily helped build Blissful Bride with Jess while also working her hair magic, creating some of most beautiful and unique updos. Each year the bridal team & demand has grown more and we have been extremely fortunate to have Em's expertise to manage it all. So, while we don't offer haircuts or color at the shop we certainly can tell you the best person to see! In her spare time, (which she doesn't have much of) Emily works at a busy salon in Middletown, is a Realtor for William Raveis and a Mama to 7 month old Jovie. If you're a Bride using our talented team for hair & makeup, she's your go to girl for any wedding related beauty questions! And if you're lucky enough to have her providing services the day of your wedding, she is sure to make you look like a princess & feel like a queen.

What started out as a fun hobby for Halloween makeup in 2014 grew into a passionate side hustle for Lauren. Lauren is one of those amazing "self taught" artists, and her talent will amaze you. She has been with us for several bridal seasons now so you could definitely say she is a "seasoned" makeup artist. If you are looking to have your natural features enhanced, she's your girl. Her down to earth, easy going personality will keep you calm on your big day, and her easy to talk to vibe will give you the confidence you need. Lauren is surely someone to be mistaken as a Bridesmaid the day of because you'll adore her and you'll instantly be friends. Born and raised in Haddam, Lauren is familiar with the hometown vibe. She resides in Rhode Island full time and visits us often for weddings, which her parents love. Outside of work she has two rescue dogs, Loki and Nash and enjoys running/hiking outdoors. And yes, Halloween is still her favorite holiday!

Candice is a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist, with over 10 years of experience in a variety of modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofacial Release, Sports, Pregnancy, Infant,Special Populations, Reflexology, Cupping, Hot Stone, Lymphatic Flow, and any Custom Blend Tailored for each client's needs. She grew up on a cattle ranch in western Montana and joined the Army at the age of 17, serving 10 years on Active Duty. After her military service was completed in 2013, she went to school for Massage Therapy in Moorhead, Minnesota and ran her own successful Massage Therapy practice in Fargo, North Dakota until 2018. She is a loving wife and mom to 4 amazing boys. After her husband, a Connecticut native, retired from the Army, they settled in Uncasville, CT. Candice enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, trying different foods, watching her favorite shows, and expanding her knowledge and skills as a health and wellness practitioner.
